A little chipmunk that we've named Earl. He lives somewhere in our backyard and we feed him and the squirrels peanuts (unsalted, of course!).

Star cluster M13 in Hercules. A ball of several hundred thousand stars orbiting the Milky Way. Also known as NGC 6502. It is over 20,000 light years from Earth.

This little turtle was seen swimming in a cenote in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. There were a bunch of small fish swimming around this little fella.

Shot of either a female or juvenile male Brown Headed Cowbird. This was in our backyard over the last winter. We saw many of these mid-sized birds around out feeders.

This is one of our Mourning Doves that lives in the area. There are two of them (as they mate for life) and they often visit our back deck to get some bird seed. This one is relaxing on the deck railing.

M57 The Ring Nebula. This is a planetary nebula and is the remains of a star that exploded most of its stellar material leaving behind just a small white dwarf star. It is 2570 light years from Earth.

This is a White Breasted Nuthatch sitting on our big suet ring in our backyard. This is one of my favourite birds along with Chickadees, Juncos, and Downy Woodpeckers. It's almost like this little guy is posing for me!

One morning my wife and I woke up, went downstairs for coffee and this beautiful guest was resting on our back fence - a Barred Owl! It stayed for most of the day, departing somewhere around 4PM. It tolerated investigations from our local squirrel constabulary.

Behind the Dildo Brewing Co. & Museum building is a dock that goes out into Dildo Cove. At the end of the dock, the proprietors placed to perfectly positioned Muskoka chairs that were just ready to be photographed. I wonder what they call Muskoka chairs in Newfoundland?

This is a portrait picture of our dear departed cat Princess. She lived to the ripe old age of 21 and was my daughter's best friend when they were both growing up together. She was a lovely, affectionate cat who was particularly vocal when she wanted something.

Located in downtown St. John's NL, the YellowBelly Brewery is just a block away from the harbour. My wife and I were on their patio having some delicious suds when I decided to snap this with my phone.

This is a picture of our little dog Muffin enjoying some winter sunshine. According to the metadata on this image, it was taken with a BlackBerry 9900 back in 2015 when Muffin would have been only 2 years old. She is 13 now!

During the annual airshow for where I live, I trek up to the airport (YLK) as the aircraft used in the airshow usually are staged here. In this photo, I caught an RCAF CF-188 Hornet fighter jet landing.
